  • Q. What’s the best way to contact you?

    A. The best way to contact us is via text, email, or online contact form.
  • Q. Do you guarantee your handyman work?

    A. Yes! All labor performed by Handyman Services OC is guaranteed for 1 full year. Please click here to see our guarantee.
  • Q. What type of jobs do you handle?

    A. I prefer to handle smaller jobs that contractors avoid. If a job takes more than a few hours to complete, it’s probably not something I’ll tackle. Check out our services page for examples.
  • Q. Do I need to be home?

    A. If it’s your first handyman appointment then you will need to be home for the beginning and completion of your project. If you are a continuing customer then other arrangements can possible be made.
  • Q. Do you provide free estimates?

    A. We offer free estimates via our website, email, text messages or by phone. If you want an estimate conducted at your residence, there will be a fee.
  • Q. Do you require payment up front?

    A. No, payment is not required until the job is complete. If the job requires me to buy expensive materials, I may request that you pay in advance for them.

  • Q. Who picks up the material for the jobs?

    A. That’s your choice. If you provide the materials it will save you money.

    If I provide the materials, you will pay for time (hourly rate) to cover my shopping time, delivery and fuel.

  • Q. Do you charge extra for materials?

    A. No, we show you the actual receipts for materials, which you then reimburse us for.
  • Q. Do you charge by the hour or the job?

  • Q. What does the hourly rate include?

    A. The hourly rate is a labor-only fee. The price does not include parts or materials.
  • Q. Do you round up to the nearest hour?

    A. No. I round to the nearest quarter hour because that’s fairer and it helps keep your costs down.

  • Q. Do you have a trip charge?

    A. Yes, it is based on your address, not your zip code.

  • Q. I have an emergency - can you help me now!

    A. We do our best to assist you in an emergency situations. We will try to re-arrange our schedule to accommodate you.
  • Q. What if I need to change my appointment?

    A. To make changes to your handyman service appointments, please allow 48 hours’ notice. Unfortunately, changes with less than 48 hours’ notice are subject to a cancellation fee of $50.00.
  • Q. How small of a job would you come for?

    A. No job is too small. On the other hand, if I think a project is too large, or not up my alley, I will tell you immediately, probably when you first contact me.
  • Q. How far will you travel?

    A. My service area includes all of Orange County California. I do take on jobs that are outside of Orange County as long as it makes sense for me to take them on.
  • Q. Who do you work with?

    A. I only do work for Home Owners who live in their residences.

  • Q. Who do I not work with?

    A. Landlords, Offices, Businesses, Leasing Agencies, Real Estate Agencies, Property Management Companies, Interior Decorators, Home Designers, Personal Assistants and everyone else that is not a home owner.

  • Q. Do you take away construction trash?

    A. We do not take away trash resulting from our jobs. Most trash can be disposed of in your regular trash pickup. There are some items that cannot be disposed of in your regular trash. For those items, we can make arrangements to dispose of them for you for a fee.
  • Q. When is payment required?

    A. All payments are due upon completion of the work.
  • Q. Are you a licensed contractor?

    A. No. There is no specific licensing for Handymen. I would need to be licensed in all the contracting disciplines (i.e. general contracting, plumbing, electrical, etc).
  • Do you offer discounts for being elderly, disables, veterans, or others?
